Aimfeed.com Ad Serving and Platform Privacy Policy

This Privacy Policy (this "Policy") describes and informs you how and why the Aimfeed.com collects non-personally identifiable data (anonymous data) from its users, data processors, sub-processors and third-party partners and how that data will be used and/or shared with others, how Aimfeed.com safeguards it and how you may access and control its use in connection with our marketing communications and activities. This Policy shall also provide you information regarding how to manage certain data collected about you.
Definitions
Company – Aimfeed.com, a Registered Company
Clients – Our clients are Publishers and Advertisers, who use the Platform to create, edit and maintain ad campaigns or to sell ad placements.
Data Subject – The person about whom personal data relates. This could be Clients or Users.
Platform – The services we provide to Clients.
Processor – The technology providers or sub processors, who maintain a data processing agreement with the Company.
User – An individual, who receives or otherwise interacts with an advertisement.
Information We Collect Automatically
Whenever you visit or interact with the Platform we may use a variety of technologies that automatically or passively collect information about how the platform is accessed and used (“Usage Information“). Usage Information may include, in part, browser type, operating system, device type, an estimate of your geographic location associated with your IP address, the page served, the time, referring URLs and other information normally transmitted in HTTP requests. This information helps us keep the Platform fresh and interesting to our clients and users.
We also automatically collect the internet protocol (“IP“) address or other unique identifier (“Device Identifier“) for each computer, mobile device, technology or other device (collectively, “Device“) you use to access the Platform.
We use different technologies to collect Usage Information, including Device Identifiers. These may include, without limitation:
Cookies
We may place cookies or similar files on your Device for security purposes, to facilitate Platform navigation and to personalize your experience while using it, including by better tailoring internal recommendations and promoted content to your preferences over time. For example, we may use your web browsing information to try to show you specific recommendations and sponsored recommendations that we think will be of particular interest to you.
Cookies allow us to collect technical and navigational information. Cookies may include a Device Identifier along with information about the particular type of content in which you have shown interest. Cookies also allow us to select which content is most likely to appeal to you and display that content while you are using our Platform. You can set some Cookie preferences through your device or browser settings, but doing so may affect the functionality of the service over the Platform. The method for disabling Cookies may vary by device and browser, but can usually be found in your device or browser preferences or security settings. For example, iOS and Android devices each have settings which are designed to limit forms of ad tracking. Please note that changing any of these settings does not prevent the display of certain advertisements to you.
Log Files
For the correct operation of the service, we gather certain information automatically and store it in log files. This information includes IP addresses, browser type, internet service provider, referring/exit pages, operating system, date/time stamp and clickstream data.
We use this information, which does not identify individual users, to analyze trends, to administer the Platform, to track users’ movements around the Platform and to gather demographic information about our user base as a whole.
What Personal Information and Data We Collect
Personally Identifiable Information is information about you that can be used to contact you or identify you as an individual. We may ask you to provide the information about yourself, such as name, username, e-mail address, physical address and phone number. We will save your PII until you erase or delete your account or otherwise exercise your right to erase your PII.
Personal Data is information that is associated with an individual and enables that individual User to be singled out. Through the use of ad tags and cookies we collect information about you. Typically, the information obtained does not identify you directly (i.e. by name or email address), however, the information may indirectly identify your device or geolocate you for purposes of delivering targeted advertisements. Under European privacy law, some information transmitted by Cookies and Tags including Log Data are considered personal information. We will save your Personal Data until you erase or delete your account or otherwise exercise your right to erase your Personal Data.
What Information We Collect for Client’s Accounts
- Registration information – Your first and last name, mailing address, phone number, email address and other similar contact details.
- Technical / Access information – Details including your IP (Internet Protocol) Address, User-Agent and activity including pages accessed, information entered are stored for fraud prevention and security auditing.
The information we collect and log, as outlined above, is necessary for secure account access and for securing the data systems of the platform. This information will not be sold or otherwise transmitted for commercial usage.
Information Collected Relating to Users and Advertising
- Device and Connection Information – Details including your IP (Internet Protocol) Address, User-Agent and activity including URLs of websites or names of applications accessed. The details of a User’s device and the context of where it is seen, as it related to URLs and applications is important for general ad targeting. These elements of a User’s browser or device are available for targeting, but are not made available to target a User individually.
How We Use The Collected Information
Aimfeed.com uses the information we collect about and from you for a variety of business purposes, including for example:
- to verify your identity;
- to process applications and transactions;
- to conduct surveys and market research.
- to provide you with support and handle inquires.
- to enforce our terms of use and/or EULA.
- to improve the quality and functionality of the Platform, enhance your experience, create new services (including customized services), change/cancel existing content and services, or for other internal and statistical purposes.
- to comply with any applicable law and assist law enforcement agencies as required.
With respect to data collected via the Platform, we may combine Non-Personal Information with data collected from other sources and disclose the Non-Personal Information and combined information to participating advertisers and ad networks so that they can determine whether to bid on ad inventory and in order to improve the relevance of the advertising presented to users. Examples of such data include: (a) country, city, and other geo-location details based upon the IP address of the user; (b) category and keyword information based upon the Publisher website URL; and (c) other data from advertisers and data providers that would help in ad targeting (e.g., an advertiser that wants to advertise to users, who have previously visited the advertiser’s website).
Data Retention
If you are using the Platform as an advertiser or publisher, we will maintain your registration information for our records unless and until you ask the Client Platform to delete this information, or otherwise update said information.
Data Related to Advertisements
We may retain other data within our databases, related to your connection, advertisements served or other related information that we process on behalf of our Clients for a period of up to six (6) months unless otherwise required specific legal obligations, dispute settlements or contract enforcement.
After this period, The Company and its Processor may maintain and use such data in an aggregated format, as necessary for internal analytical purposes, to comply with its legal obligations, settle disputes and enforce contracts.
Physical Measures of Data Security
The Company and its Processor maintains a private, physical “cloud” infrastructure of hardware to provide the Platform services. Access to this hardware is secured by twenty-four (24) hour, seven (7) days a week on site guards. Building access is secured by keycard entry into the rooms that store the infrastructure.
Access to logs and other sensitive data is controlled and monitored to ensure employees of the Client and The Company and its Processor have a legitimate basis for accessing the data.
Technical Measures
The Company and its Processor encrypts the data sent to and from Client Platforms using the HTTPs protocol.
Access to this hardware is secured by twenty-four (24) hour, seven (7) days a week on site guards. Building access is secured by keycard entry into the rooms that store the infrastructure.
Data Breach
While we cannot guarantee misuse of data and or unauthorized access will not occur; we make good faith efforts to prevent such occurrences. We do not warrant or represent that your account or any of your information will be protected against, any misuse, by third parties.
In the case of a breach which we determine may have involved your personal information, there will be timely efforts to contact you and also alerts to the relevant local authorities.
Your Rights In The EEA
If you are a European resident, you have the right to access personal information we hold about you and to ask that your personal information be corrected, updated, or deleted. If you would like to exercise this right, please contact us through the contact information below.
Additionally, if you are a European resident we note that we are processing your information in order to fulfill contracts we might have with you or otherwise to pursue our legitimate business interests. Additionally, please note that your information will be transferred outside of Europe, including to United States.
When we process personal information to pursue these legitimate interests, we do so where we believe the nature of the processing, the information being processed, and the technical and organizational measures employed to protect that information can help mitigate the risks to the data subject.
Children's’ Online Privacy Protection Act Compliance
The Platform is not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect Personal Information from anyone under 13 years of age. If we determine upon collection that a user is under 13, we will not use or maintain his/her Personal Information without the parent/guardian’s consent. If we become aware that we have unknowingly collected Personal Information from a child under the age of 13, we will make reasonable efforts to delete such information from our records.
Security Of Your Information
We maintain tight controls over all the data we collect, retaining it in firewalled and secured databases with strictly limited and controlled access rights, to ensure it is secure. When you enter sensitive information (such as login credentials) we encrypt that data via SSL encryption. Please remember that, unfortunately, the transmission of information via the Internet is not completely secure, so although we will do our best to protect your personal data, we cannot guarantee the security of your data transmitted via the Platform; any transmission is at your own risk. Once we have received your information, we will use strict procedures and security features to try to prevent unauthorized access.
Our Platform uses generally accepted industry security standards to protect data. We retain identifiable data, which is directly collected for purposes of serving content to end-users, for twenty-four (24) months from the end-user’s last interaction with our Platform, after which time we de-identify the data by removing unique identifiers or aggregating the data. We retain aggregated data, which cannot identify an individual or device and is used for purposes of reporting and analysis, for as long as commercially necessary.
Disclosing Of Information to Third Parties
Except as provided in this Privacy Policy, we will not provide any of your Personal Information to any third parties without your specific consent.
However, we may disclose Personal Information when legally required to do so, to cooperate with law enforcement investigations or other legal proceedings, to protect against misuse or unauthorized use of the website, to limit our legal liability and protect our rights or to protect the rights, property or safety of users of this website. We may also disclose your Personal Information to outside individuals and/or companies that help us bring you the products and services we offer and to create, operate, and maintain our Platform.
Opt-Out and Links To Third-Party Sites
The Platform supports opt-out function by default, though, please note that it may contain links to other websites that we do not own or operate. This includes links from customers, sponsors and partners that may use our logo(s) as part of a co-branding agreement. We do not control, recommend or endorse and are not responsible for these sites or their content, products, services or privacy policies or practices. These other websites may send their own cookies to your Device, they may independently collect data or solicit Personal Information and may or may not have their own published privacy policies.
Platform policies do not extend to anything that is inherent in the operation of the Internet, which is beyond our control. Remember that whenever you give out Information online, that information may be collected and used by people you do not know.
Changes To Privacy Policy
Please note, we may modify and revise this Privacy Policy from time to time. If we make any material changes, we will place a prominent notice prior to the change becoming effective. The most current version of our Privacy Policy shall govern how we collect, use and disclose information about you. By continuing to use our services after changes to the Privacy Policy become effective, you acknowledge any such revised Privacy Policy.
